With over 13 years of experience in health research administration, Delilah is passionate about the education, engagement and promotion of health research. With an appreciation for the spectrum of complexities, details and risks involved in health research, her understanding of the end-to-end research process has led to her recognition as an established Research Administrator with a proven record of forming and maintaining synergistic, dynamic and solution-focused teams. Her current scope of responsibility at Trillium Health Partners spans the lifecycle of research from ideation to dissemination, implementation and uptake and includes overseeing the operations of the Research Ethics Board, the Responsible Conduct of Research, research policies and procedures, and risk management in research. Through her strategic networks, Delilah strives to enhance the enabling services for health research available to research stakeholders, including the tools, processes and approaches of effectively managing health research.
As an invited presenter at national and international conferences such as the Canadian Association of Research Ethics Boards annual conference, the Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research (PRIM&R) conference, and the Risk Management in Health Research conference, the Corporate Manager Research Operations and Project Management has presented on research ethics, RCR and legal and liability issues in health research for over 8 years. In addition to previously serving as a Research Ethics Methods Tutor and guest lecturer at the University of Toronto where she received a faculty teaching award for “Excellence in Small Group Teaching”, she also has research interests in the areas of public accountability and responsibility in health research, with particular interest in health research governance and accountability frameworks.
