Hillary Webb
Hillary Webb graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design in 2004 and has focused her art practice primarily in textile and ceramic mediums, combining techniques such as hand building, hand embroidery, and natural dye with research related to material process and a sense of place. She received her Master of Library and Information Studies from Dalhousie University in 2011, becoming a librarian out of the desire to teach people tools to support their research, learn new techniques, and seek inspiration. Hillary is the Systems + Technical Services Librarian at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, and library liaison to the Faculty of Culture + Community. She has been instrumental in building an open access institutional repository for ECU, which features graduate student theses, researcher profiles, and research outcomes from faculty, staff, and students. She is currently collaborating with the ECU Research and Innovation Office to forward the research data management institutional strategy.
