Erika Kleiderman is a Senior Advisor (Research Ethics) with the Secretariat on Responsible Conduct of Research. Her role includes interpreting the second edition of the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans (TCPS), developing new ethics guidance in response to emerging issues, and familiarizing the research community with the Policy through outreach and education. Prior to joining the Secretariat, Erika was an Academic Associate at the Centre of Genomics and Policy at McGill University, with a research focus on the ethical, legal, and social implications surrounding human genome editing, new assisted reproductive technologies, the regulation of stem cell research and regenerative medicine, as well as access to data and genetic information.

Erika Kleiderman est conseillère principale (éthique de la recherche) au Secrétariat sur la conduite responsable de la recherche. Son rôle consiste notamment à interpréter l’EPTC 2, à élaborer de nouvelles lignes directrices en matière d’éthique pour répondre aux enjeux émergents, et à familiariser la communauté des chercheurs avec cette version de l’EPTC grâce à des activités de sensibilisation et de formation. Avant de rejoindre le Secrétariat, Erika était chercheuse associée au Centre de génomique et politiques de l’Université McGill, où ses recherches portaient sur les implications éthiques, juridiques et sociales liées à la modification du génome humain, aux nouvelles technologies de procréation assistée, à la réglementation de la recherche sur les cellules souches et de la médecine régénérative, ainsi qu’à l’accès aux données et aux informations génétiques.
