Dorothy has been the REB Leader at Interior Health since 2011. Her role includes managing research ethics applications, training and supporting REB members, and leading the development of policies and SOPs. She is actively involved in mentoring REB Administrators at partner institutions in BC and has contributed to various provincial and national research ethics initiatives, including chairing the N2 REB SOP Committee. Prior to her career in research, she was a registered dietitian. She also holds a Master’s in Applied Sociology from the University of Tasmania, but freely admits her happy place is in the clinical world. She lives in Kelowna, British Columbia, on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the syilx Nation.
