Stacey Page, PhD

Stacey Page, PhD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences, Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary and an Adjunct Professor, School of Visual Art, Alberta University of the Arts. She has close to 20 years of varied REB experience. She is the current Chair of the Conjoint Health Research Ethics Board for the University of Calgary, a member of the Human Research Ethics Board, Mount Royal University as well as a member of the Research Ethics Board, Alberta University of the Arts. Dr. Page is a past member of the Canadian Bioethics Society Executive and the Board of Directors, Canadian Association of Research Ethics Boards.

    This workshop will provide a high level introduction to all things research ethics. This will include REB history, evolution and the REB's place within an institution. We will provide a description of board structure, functioning, reviews and resources, as well as the roles of institutional stakeholders (i.e., administrators, board members and researchers). The session will be interactive, with opportunities for questions, sharing practices and discussion.
