Terrence Stewart
Dr. Stewart’s research involves analysing brains and human behaviour, identifying the underlying algorithms, building computer simulations of those algorithms, and evaluating those algorithms for industry-relevant energy-efficient AI solutions. He was a key team member behind the world’s largest functional brain model (“A large-scale model of the functioning brain,” Science, 2012). A core part of his overall research has been evaluating AI systems, comparing AI performance to human performance, and adapting experimental psychology methods to be applicable to evaluating AI systems.
