Research-creation is a research methodology used mainly in the humanities and social sciences (film research, music, planning, communication, etc.). Research is carried out through dialogue with human participants, in the context of creating or co-creating works. Research is often accompanied by a common reflection on the approach. In relation to human beings, research and creation projects must be submitted for ethical approval. However, due to the specific process of this research projects, their ethics review faces some interesting challenges. In our two-voice approach (ethicist and researcher-creator) and through the form of dialogue, we will present, on the one hand, the questions that REBs pose in their ethics review of such projects, and on the other hand, the questions posed by researchers-creators in the face of a request for ethical approval, as well as common efforts in view of obtaining ethical approval.
